During the Mate Congress held in Berlin in March 2025 it was unanimously agreed that the indigenous narrative is often left out of the Mate Industry, especially in its land of origin. In an effort to counterbalance this and pay homage to the Guarani origins of Ka´a Meta Mate initiated a reforestation project bringing saplings from Machadinho Moonshine Mate producers to a community in Pico do Jaragua
